My name is Julie McGovern, I’m the Owner of Midlife Reset - a Mindset & Wellbeing Coaching practice that supports women who feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck - women who know deep down there’s more to life, but aren’t sure how to find their way back.
I am a Neuro Transformation Coach and degree qualified Counsellor with extensive training and experience in mental health. Additionally, I am a qualified Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Trainer, bringing a well-rounded approach to support holistic wellbeing and personal transformation.
For over a decade, I have helped many women transform their mindset, connect with their authentic self, and develop healthy lifestyle habits that have enabled them to dramatically improve their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
I am passionate about helping midlife women rediscover who they truly are - beneath the noise, expectations, and limiting beliefs they’ve carried for far too long. If that’s you, know this: you are not broken, and you can find your way back to yourself.
My approach blends mindset work, emotional healing, and practical lifestyle changes to help you feel grounded, energised, and fully alive again.

I came to Julie when I was in the thick of a binge eating disorder which completely distorted my view of myself and food and had flow on impacts to my fitness.
Julie is so holistic in her approach – she would listen so intently and offer incredible lived advice around practical mindset shifts whilst also have such incredible knowledge and skills in programming exercise and food that would help meet me where I was at.
My time with Julie was pivotal in helping me to finally break free from bingeing, heal, and solely learn to eat intuitively and love exercise again.
Julie knows her stuff and approaches her clients with her whole heart. I will forever by grateful for how she impacted my story.

I came home one night very tired and feeling unsure about myself and who I was as a woman. I stood at my kitchen counter going through the mail when I was immediately drawn to a flyer. Everything that I was reading screamed “This is you, this is what you need.”
I called Julie and made arrangements to visit her for a consultation and what’s that saying…the rest is history.
I took the plunge and signed up for a 12 week complete transformation – a combination of personal training, nutritional advice, home training, and coaching. OMG what had I done…?
Well I can tell you this, I am now a changed person from the inside and out. Julie has been my rock throughout my journey (along with my family). Not only am I a healthier me, but a much happier me, and that’s important.
Julie has encouraged me every step, helped me to look outside my own little bubble and watched my many light bulb moments.
With Julie’s help I have learnt that I don’t like to run…but that’s okay because I really enjoy walking now. There’s are many different ways I can stay fit and healthy and that’s all because of Julie. If one step didn’t work for me, Julie created another step until we found the right mix.
Along with some simple nutritional advice, I’m on my way to a lifestyle that’s easy to follow.

When a chance pamphlet was delivered to a good friend’s letter box, un-be-known to me, a call was made and an appointment for a free consultation was discussed. I had not exercised in almost 10 years, and with ongoing weight gain and loss and gain again, since having my two beautiful daughters, my self-esteem deemed me almost redundant in figuring out how to get out of a yoyo dieters nightmare. I hid behind my family using them as an eternal excuse in putting them first and fell way behind in caring for my mental and physical health. This was impacting severely on my ability to function normally. I also worried so much about how I would influence my two girls with this dreadful way of eating and living.
I got to Julie in a bedraggled state and questioned how on earth could one session change my life?
On arrival at Julie’s studio, I was welcomed by a calm, private and comfortable environment. Julie and I walked for about 45 minutes in the natural beauty of her neighbourhood and sat on her couch speaking for the rest of the session. On that walk, Julie instilled confidence in me that I could lose the weight and that I could achieve my goals. She also assured me that she would walk me through each step of the way to reach that goal.
I walked away from that session with simple life altering advice, empathy, can do strategies and a new belief that I could face this. Not only that, I ended up doing 10 sessions over a 5 month period where true to Julie’s word, she provided unbiased support and a platform where I could train or just simply flop on her couch and talk.
Julie managed to fit in with my ever changing schedule: kids, full time work, husband away, travel with work & life’s juggling act in general.
I can’t recommend Julie highly enough. I found a genuine, smart, helpful and caring person within her dealings and learnt a lot about myself along the way.
I joined a boot-camp and I walk on a treadmill up to 3 hours a week. I have lost a third of my goal weight to this point. Did that one session change my life. YES.
I owe my dear friend a huge thanks for thinking of me and acting on a simple pamphlet in her letter box.
I thank Julie for her encouragement & knowledge. I am proud of myself for gaining tools to make my life better.

I’m not a person who was open to speaking up and asking for help, but after meeting Julie, I felt so much at home and comfortable. I couldn’t wait to get started.

I thought that it was all about food, however, shortly after starting the program, I soon learnt that it was less the food and more the mindset, emotions, and setback I’d had in my life.
With Julie standing by me each week, and knowing that I could email or call her when I was in need of extra help, I was able to stay on track.
I came across some scary moments in my life, but thanks to Julie, I was able to walk through those moments due to the help she gave me. Now I am making new friends, have changed jobs, moved house, and my life is starting all over again.
Julie has inspired me to have dreams and hopes, which I hope one day will come true. Without Julie, I would still be in the same place, unable to move. Thanks Julie.

Just over 8 months ago, I received a flyer in my letterbox from Julie. I was overweight, unhealthy, unfit, and lacking in energy and strength.
I am in my 50s, and really saw the need to not only lose weight, but to be fitter and to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
I have lost weight before with a commercial weight loss company, through diet and walking, but ended up gradually putting the weight back on.
Through my time with Julie, I have learnt about weight training and muscle building, and the changes this has made to the shape of my body, strengthening my core, and improving my balance.
I am now in my healthy weight range and have shaped up again, feel healthier, stronger, fitter and have more energy.
I have learnt how to eat healthier and in proportion to what I really need. I enjoy a healthy balanced diet, which includes a treat everyday so I don't feel deprived in anyway. I try to exercise most days for about 30 - 40 minutes. I actually enjoy keeping active by either walking or by doing resistance training, because I see and feel the benefit from it.
By have Julie as my Coach, I have gained so much. By having her do the journey with me, I have been able to obtain great results.
I have tried the gym before, but as there is no ongoing one on one training, I felt lost and didn't continue. Coaching has worked for me and has been life changing, giving me more confidence and improving my self-image.
Julie, thank you so much for helping me over the last 3 months. Thank you for teaching me a better relationship with food and for the higher self-worth you have encouraged me to have.
Because of you I didn't give up on me and I am so much happier with my body.
